Lakeway Area Habitat for Humanity (LAHFH) is a non-governmental, non-profit, Christian housing ministry building simple, decent and affordable homes in partnership with people in need. LAHFH’s goal is to eliminate poverty housing in Hamblen County. To date, we have built 44 homes in Hamblen County. LAHFH has also tithed and built over 8 homes in other countries.
LAHFH Mission Statement: Demonstrate the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. Advocate on behalf of those in need of decent shelter. Focus on shelter by building simple, decent, affordable housing. Engage broad community involvement through inclusive leadership and diverse partnerships. Promote dignity through full partnership with Habitat homeowners and future home partners.
How is LAHFH Managed? The daily operations of LAHFH are managed by an Office Administrator, A Board of Directors and volunteers. The Board of Directors is a governing board who meet monthly. They are volunteers from the community who believe in the work of Habitat and want to reach out into the community for new members, fund raising, volunteers and a host of other activities.

It is with great anticipation that we look toward the future with several new board members that bring a variety of expertise, new volunteers with a broad range of skill levels, staff additions to move our mission forward and courageous families who are moving toward eliminating poverty housing in the Lakeway Area. Our volunteers, staff and homeowners will once again show in action, not words, how rewarding it is to love and serve our neighbors and strengthen our community! -LAHFH Staff and Board
